Word of the week: Venerate

Venerate (verb)
[ve-nə-ˌrāt]

“I was reading a book the other day and came across a word that isn’t used that much so I thought I’d include it here. Venerate.
The book was referring to a ‘venerated member of the police force’. According to the Macquarie Dictionary it means ‘to regard with reverence, or revere’.
And a big shout out to all the newsletter readers who are taking up the #wordoftheweek challenge and using them in their blog posts. We love reading them!”
