This week we’re giving away copies of the new memoir from much-loved documentary maker Louis Theroux. It’s called Gotta Get Theroux This (we see what you did there, Louis) and it’s a funny, heartfelt and entertaining account of his life and weird times in TV.
In the book, Louis takes you on a joyous journey from his anxiety-prone childhood to his unexpectedly successful career. Nervously accepting the BBC’s offer of his own series, he went on to create an award-winning documentary style that has seen him immersed in the weird worlds of paranoid US militias and secretive pro-wrestlers, get under the skin of celebrities like Max Clifford and Chris Eubank and tackle gang culture in San Quentin prison, all the time wondering whether the same qualities that make him good at documentaries might also make him bad at life.
Filled with wry observation and self-deprecating humour, this is Louis at his most insightful and honest best. And this week you can win it!
Want to know how to win a copy? Well, in true “Theroux-esque” awkward introspective fashion, we noticed that this blog post includes a ridiculously long 75-word sentence (we bolded it). So tell us – in just ONE sentence of at least 75 words – WHY you’d like to win the book! Have fun with this one – and our favourite three entries will win a copy of Louis’ new book.
ENTER USING THE FORM BELOW.
Entries close midday Monday 21 October 2019, Sydney/Melbourne time.
THIS COMPETITION HAS NOW CLOSED. THANKS FOR YOUR ENTRIES. WINNERS WILL BE CONTACTED BY EMAIL AND ANNOUNCED IN OUR NEWSLETTER.
