Have you wanted to get a break in the publishing industry? Hachette Australia have announced a paid summer internship.
According to the website: “The Hachette Australia Summer Internship Program will run for four months each year, with the first successful candidate commencing in November 2020. The intern role will be full-time, at 38 hours a week, and ‘comes with entry-level remuneration’ of $50,000 pro rata.”
What qualifications do you need to apply?
You don’t need formal qualifications to apply, but you do need to have the following:
- a passion for books.
- a love of reading.
- and a genuine interest in working in book publishing.
According to the CEO of Hachette Australia, Louise Sherwin-Stark “We’re calling for applications from all people – whether you’re a student, a recent graduate, or contemplating a career pivot.”
What will the intern be doing?
According to the website: “The intern will work within each division of the company from acquisition through the editorial and production processes, to sales and distribution, and then marketing and publicity. They will report to the CEO and be supported by the head of each division.”
Hachette will provide training, you’ll attend internal meetings, contribute to campaigns and much more.
