Are you an aspiring playwright looking for an opportunity to showcase your original work? Submit your script in this year's Ensemble Stages Play Reading and break a leg!
From Ensemble Theatre’s website
Would you like to test your new play out in front of an audience? Submit your work to us and it could be chosen for our Autumn Reading, which will take place on Saturday 7 May, 2016.
This is an opportunity to have your play shared with an audience, to get your name out there and to hear valuable feedback to take your work to the next level.
With Autumn around the corner, it’s nearly time for our first 2016 Ensemble Stages Play Reading. You may remember Christopher Harley’s play Blood Bank which Ensemble Theatre produced last year as a direct result of this very program, Ensemble Stages.
Scripts must be an original Australian work that is yet to be produced and have not had a public reading. Only one play per playwright will be accepted. Scripts previously submitted need not be re-sent as they will already be considered in the current round.
Send your script via email to [email protected] by 5pm on Friday 11 March, 2016. Please include a brief CV and details of any private reads that your submitted script has received. The successful applicant will be contacted by Friday 1 April, 2016.
