It’s time to polish your manuscript and enter the 2023 Penguin Literary Prize!
Here are the details from Penguin:
The Penguin Literary Prize was established to find, nurture and develop new Australian authors of literary fiction – in keeping with Penguin Random House’s proud tradition of publishing this country’s greatest writers.
Submissions will be accepted until 11.59pm AEDT Monday 12th December, 2022.

HOW TO ENTER:
Upload a Word document (no bigger than 3MB in size) with the following information:
1. Synopsis
Write a synopsis of the Work of no more than 300 words.
2. Pitch
Include a page with the following information:
- Title of the Work, and indicate the genre of the Work.
- Brief summary of the Work (two or three sentences).
- Brief author biography (two or three sentences).
- Details of any publishing history and writing awards received.
- Indication of whether the Work has been published, or provided to any other publisher, anywhere in the world.
- Indication of whether this, or a similar, Work was previously submitted to PRH Australia (if so, provide details).
3. Manuscript
A complete, unpublished manuscript.
Submissions will be accepted until 11.59pm AEDT Monday 12th December, 2022. The winner will receive $20,000 and the opportunity to publish with Penguin Random House Australia.
A shortlist will be revealed on Thursday 9 March 2023, with the winner announced on Thursday 15 June 2023. Find out more here.
