Enter the 29-word story challenge

Do you know that feeling when you discover a layer of dust on furniture or items you haven’t used for some time? That thin film of grime that softly, silently settles when you aren’t looking? Well, it can happen to our creativity too – so let’s shake off the dust… We have a story challenge for you.

Today only (Thursday 29 April 2021), we’d like you to write us a micro story that’s no more than 29 words (after all, it’s the 29th). The theme of your story is ROAD TRIP. Make it funny, serious, dark, hopeful, nostalgic or romantic – whatever you can pack into 29 words.

Write as many stories as you want – submit them below. We'll be sharing a selection of our favourites in the coming weeks.
