We love these gorgeous scented candles. Whether you want some mood lighting for a cosy night in, or to burn a citrus scent for some zing in the office, the great thing about these candles is that each of them are named after a well-known book!
From Murphy & Daughters, here are the descriptions of the available fragrances:
Cloudstreet – scented with orange blossom, lemon, mandarin, jasmine, green tea, honeysuckle, bergamot, pear and musk. Reflections bouncing off the lilting surface, time stands still. Suddenly firecrackers pop, and rockets soar. A westerly picks up across the sound; summer is here.
The Secret Garden – includes gorgeous notes of roses and violets, geranium leaves and lilac petals, musk and vanilla. A rusty old key, a curtain of ivy, a hidden door. Wild, mysterious and sweet.
Where the Wild Things Are – fragranced with pepper and lemon, waterlily and ylang-ylang, tuberose and cedar wood, sandalwood and amber. Ban, ban, ca-caliban. The drums grew louder as they whooped and hollered.
Tender is the Night – scents of orange blossom, neroli and green tea, tangerine and lily, tuberose and musk. A sweet zephyr blushes across one’s cheek. A midnight dash through the orange orchards – time to spare; time to live.
Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil – perfumed with bergamot and blackcurrant, pink grapefruit and green tea, lily of the valley, rose and jasmine. Moonlight ascends upon the veiled waterfall, ssssshhhhhh…vines, entwined like rope, moss soft to the velvet touch, a kiss laid upon the neck.
The candles are hand poured in Melbourne and have up to 80 hours burn time. They are packaged in stock made from recycled paper, and this wrapping happens at Ability Works, which aims to empower people with disabilities with meaningful work.
