Bond is back!
No, not that Spectre movie – we’re talking about in print, and with considerably less singing by Sam Smith. The book is Trigger Mortis by Anthony Horowitz and it’s our book giveaway for this week.
Ever since Ian Fleming’s death in the mid-1960s, his estate has commissioned authors to write “continuation novels” that carry on the Bond adventures. (These are typically independent of the films.) The latest commission is by Anthony Horowitz.
Horowitz is an experienced British author – known for his Alex Rider spy series, he also has a couple of Sherlock Holmes novels under his belt. With so many genre novels draped in the Union Jack, it was perhaps only a matter of time before he ended up writing everyone’s favourite spy, 007. The one difference with this novel is that it also includes some previously unreleased material written by Ian Fleming. (But none by Harper Lee…)
So, to win a copy, we’d like you to come up with your best name for a Bond villain.
The more creative and memorable the better! Draw inspiration from famous Bond villains throughout history…Our favourite will win the book – it’s that simple (and our decision is final!).
So load up the tank filled with sharks and rotating saws and enter below!
This competition has now closed – thanks for your entries! Winners will be announced in our weekly newsletter.
