Monday 8 June 2015
Time: 6.30–8.30pm
Although the official time is from 6.30pm to 8.30pm, you are welcome to stay as long as you like – and we imagine many of you will!
Who:
Georgia Richter is the Fiction, Creative Non-fiction and Poetry Publisher at Fremantle Press. She holds an MA in Creative Writing from the University of Western Australia. Prior to joining the press in 2008, she taught creative and professional writing at Melbourne University, UWA and Curtin, and ran a freelance editing business. She has received over 20 awards for her own short fiction, which has been published in various journals around Australia.
Fremantle Press has been an independent not-for-profit publishing house for over 38 years, in which time it has guided more than 700 books to publication. Our publications include works by new and established Western Australian authors in the fields of poetry, literary fiction, non-fiction, creative non-fiction and children’s literature.
What:
This is a wonderful opportunity for you to mingle with, and be inspired by, other like-minded people at various stages on their writing journey.
The night will include ice-breaking activities, a Q&A with guest speaker Georgia Richter and Australian Writers’ Centre State Director Alecia Hancock. You will also have the chance to ask Danny your own questions.
We encourage you to bring two friends who share your passion for writing. If you bring a guest, both you and your guests will go into the draw to win special prizes on the night.
