National Bookshop Day

We're sure you don't need an excuse to support your local bookshop, but we have a great excuse anyway. Saturday 8th of August is National Bookshop Day!

Hundreds of bookshops will be holding events and having activities, and more.

On Saturday, August 8th, bookshops throughout Australia will be celebrating National Bookshop Day.

Hundreds of bookshops will be holding events and having activities, or simply saying thank you to the readers, writers, libraries and schools that support them.

This year the theme is, ‘Love Your Bookshop’, and is a day where we can celebrate the unique place that bookshops have in the community, and the myriad of ways in which bookshops contribute to the local economy,

Visit your favourite bookshop. You never know who you’re going to run into, or what you might find on the shelves.
