COMP CLOSED: Win 10 double passes to Emily Dickinson biopic “A Quiet Passion”!

This week, thanks to our platonic friends at Palace Films, we have 10 double passes to new film A Quiet Passion (PG) to give away. It opens in selected cinemas 22 June.

The film is directed by Terence Davies (named by The Guardian as ‘Britain’s greatest living director’) and stars Cynthia Nixon as she gives a career-best, tour-de-force performance as legendary 19th century poet Emily Dickinson.

Fewer than a dozen of Emily’s poems were published during her lifetime, despite her having written nearly 1800 of them – and this film captures the friction of the patriarchal world of her time in sumptuous reality. A Quiet Passion has enjoyed Official Selection in most of the world’s finest festivals – a must-see (must-win!) for lovers of film and literature alike!
