COMP CLOSED: Double passes to “Tulip Fever”

This week, thanks to our platonic friends at Roadshow Films, we’ve secured 10 double passes to new film Tulip Fever, in cinemas from 23 November 2017 and based on the bestselling novel by Deborah Moggach.

This one really has quite a stellar cast – including the incredibly versatile Alicia Vikander, Dame Judi Dench, Christoph Waltz and even Zach Galifianakis. It takes place in 17th century Amsterdam, following a rich Dutchman (Waltz) and his wife (Vikander) as they have their portrait painted. As the painting unfolds, the painter and the young wife fall in love. Ambitions, dreams and desires lead to a grand deception and as the lies get more elaborate, subsequent events lead to a tragic climax…

As the media release announces, this is “a scandalous and regal film – beautifully capturing the era using exquisite costumes and set design”.
