COMP CLOSED ‘The Dry’ double passes

As we close out the year, we have TEN double passes to be won this festive week thanks to Roadshow Films. It’s for the new movie, The Dry – an adaptation of Jane Harper’s award-winning crime novel and in cinemas nationwide from 1 January 2021.

The Dry stars Eric Bana, Genevieve O'Reilly, John Polson and a fantastic young cast. It follows Federal Agent Aaron Falk (Bana) as he returns to his drought-stricken hometown to attend the funeral of childhood friend Luke, who allegedly murdered his wife and child before taking his own life. 

When Falk reluctantly agrees to stay and investigate the crime, he opens an old wound – the death of 17-year-old Ellie Deacon. Falk begins to suspect these two crimes, separated by decades, are connected. As he struggles to prove not only Luke's innocence but also his own, Falk finds himself pitted against the prejudice towards him and pent-up rage of a terrified community.

The Dry is already a wonderful piece of Australian fiction – and now it’s a wonderful piece of Australian cinema, filmed in the beautiful Wimmera region of country Victoria.
