(Cue private detective music.)
This week we were just minding our own business here at AWC, with the fan on and the shutters down… when in walked the most beautiful prize we’d ever seen. A prize we couldn’t refuse. She was a beauty, and we know we’d have trouble hanging on to this one.
We are of course talking about our giveaway for this week – Peter Corris’ latest Cliff Hardy novel, Gun Control. The book is less gumshoe and more contemporary Sydney – with this being Hardy’s 40th outing in a history spanning 30 years!
Gun Control sees Hardy hired by an entrepreneur and one-time pistol-shooting champion to investigate the violent death of his troubled son. Soon Hardy is pitched into a world of crooked cops – former members of the Gun Control Unit – outlaw bikies and honest police trying to quietly clean the stables…
To win this book this week, we have a simple task for you. You see, we thought we’d give this detective novel thing a try. We’ve invented a highly original detective named Biff Tardy, but need a little help with the name of the book. So, if you could, we’d love you to complete it for us:
Biff Tardy and the case of the missing ___________________
Fill in the blank… one word or more, serious or funny – just make it memorable and our favourite will win the book!
This competition has now closed – thanks for your entries! Winners will be announced in our weekly newsletter.
