What’s it like to learn with AWC?

Jude was great; she created a safe and encouraging environment. She has a huge amount of knowledge of the book world. Jude was very encouraging to everyone and gave appropriate and helpful advice without judgement.

The group was fantastic and as a complete beginner I found the shared knowledge and input from the group to be very valuable.

It has given me the knowledge and confidence to create a book from an idea, and with some further work I now have the knowledge to submit to publishers.

The course is very worthwhile and good value for money.

I thought the feedback was kind and constructive. I learned a lot from it. The handouts and voice recordings were very helpful. I have a feeling I will need to refer to them for a few weeks before I decide to move on to a new course.

I would say that AWC provides courses for every level of student, and that the notes and practical advice will come in handy in your preparations for future courses.

It is very thorough and takes you through step-by-step all the processes you will need to do to create your own website, and it answers all the questions for those of us who aren't that tech savvy. I can go back through my website now and start improving it.

While some of the content I already knew, there was a lot of content that I wish I had known when I created my website a few years ago. It would have saved me a lot of time and angst!

The section on SEO, sizing and sourcing of images, up-to-date info on domain extensions for Australian authors, and some of the more technical aspects of building your own website. Excellent course.

The AWC has great courses with experienced presenters and value for money. I also like that you have access to the course for a year!

I've studied plenty of structure things before, so I was concerned I would be treading on the same ground. But I found it really helpful, breaking things down in a much more practical way than other resources.

It's absolutely worth doing, and it helps break down a sometimes mystifying process into something that feels like it can actually be achieved.

The course offered actionable steps and strategies. I feel confident that I am able to implement the strategies. It will serve as my roadmap, helping me understand the essential tools, and techniques that will help increase my visibility online.

This course is very methodical and very comprehensive. Very easy to do online. I am pleased I finally made the leap to follow my dream.

The course was clear and professional. Modules presented the what and how of copywriting in an easily digestible format. The steps to writing headlines, the reasons for word choice and for writing short sentences were useful. Knowing why people buy and being shown a formula to ensure the right elements make their way into your copy was most valuable.

It's affirmed for me that copywriting is a real option for life purpose and income source. It's creative and it's strategic, which plays well to both my personality and structured thinking style. I now see copywriting as a real option in my personal reinvention and I'm keen to explore this further.

The Teenage Creative Writers' Program taught me everything I was curious about in creative writing, including common tricks authors use to make their stories interesting and satisfying to read. The course has made me so much more confident in any creative writing I do and now I feel fully equipped to reach my goal of writing a young adult fiction book.

The feedback that my tutor provided was specific and helpful, because she also gave me a specific way that I could apply it within the pieces of writing that I submitted in my assignments. She also made all of the modules interesting and engaging, presenting the information in ways I could relate to and that I understood.

I loved getting to explore a range of stories and characters throughout all the modules and exercises. I also liked how throughout a lot of the exercises we could take creative freedom with the characters, setting etc. to write about what we knew and what we found interesting instead of being given a rigid set of guidelines to follow. In assignments, I also liked how we could get feedback without worrying about marking well. I loved everything about the course!

I feel confident that I could actually pursue becoming an author, when before I felt like it wouldn't be possible. It also made me feel confident in being able to learn any new skill and feel way more confident with it in a fairly short amount of time.

I really enjoyed the course and hope I can take another one with AWC soon! :)

This course was excellent, covering everything I could have thought of - and more. Michelle is an engaging presenter, which made the course very enjoyable.

My website is much better now although I still have a lot of things that need to be done. However, I know how to do most of them now.

I would highly recommend the Your Author Website course for anyone who wants to build a professional website without having to pay a designer.

I wasn't sure what to expect and whether it would be something that I would enjoy, but I was pleasantly surprised by how interesting I found each module and different type of article.

I enjoyed the ability to read through the module content myself, at my own pace, and save this for future reference. Then I appreciated the videos that went into further explanation and depth.

I am interested in continuing to pursue further courses in relation to writing and seeing where this may take me in the future.
